The IIBC Essay Contest is an English essay contest for high school students nationwide sponsored by the IIBC (The Institute for International Business Communication). This is the 2009th year since 12.
The theme is "a familiar cross-cultural experience that changed me."The aim is to overcome communication gaps and have the opportunity to see and think about the importance of getting to know people from different cultures.
The qualifications for application are high school students whose native language is not English (1st to 3rd year of college of technology, 4th to 6th year of secondary school), and applications are made on a school-by-school basis.
The work is 501 words or more and less than 700 words.Up to 1 works can be submitted per school to the "final selection" to be judged.You can apply for the "Encouragement Award" given to all the submitted works from 2 or more works per school.In addition, we will provide feedback with native comments on the submitted works.
We hope that participation in this contest will be an opportunity for high school students nationwide to think about the importance of being exposed to diverse cultures and values, understanding the other person, and making efforts to understand themselves. ..
