On December 4, 2017, four universities with campuses in Shibuya Ward, Jissen Women's University / Jissen Women's University Junior College, Aoyama Gakuin University, Kokugakuin University, and Sacred Heart Women's University signed a comprehensive agreement.
This agreement aims to contribute to the sustainable development of each university and the creation of new value based on diverse values by coordinating and cooperating with the four universities, and is an international city that the world is paying attention to.・ Return results to society from Shibuya through research, education, sports, international exchange, etc.
Originally, in promoting education and research, the person in charge of Jissen Women's University proposed about two years ago that "I think we can cooperate at universities in Shibuya Ward", and voiced to the ward (administration) and other universities in the ward. It was concluded at four universities that agreed.
The four universities have a policy of establishing a collaborative council and holding discussions in order to smoothly promote collaborative projects between universities. We are looking at research on "Shibuya studies" that we are working on, shared use of facilities owned by each university, and joint procurement of goods.
Until now, Jissen Women's University / Jissen Women's University Junior College, Aoyama Gakuin University, and Kokugakuin University were within walking distance, but there was not much interaction between each university. Because there is a wide variety of academics, founding spirits, co-education and women's colleges, we can study widely by collaborating with each other. " It is expected that a synergistic effect can be obtained by acknowledging the differences because of the progress made (Kokugakuin University President Masuhisa Akai). "
In the future, not only the four universities but also other universities may join the agreement.
