As it is the only childcare worker training institution in southern Kumamoto Prefecture, some are concerned about the growing shortage of childcare workers.

Outside of Kumamoto City, there are Kyushu University of Nursing and Welfare, which has submitted a request for publicization to Tamana City in the northern area of ​​the prefecture, and Tokai University Aso Kumamoto in the central area of ​​the prefecture. There is Rinku Campus and Heisei College of Music, but in other cities, including junior colleges, the only one is Nakakyushu Junior College in Yatsushiro City.
