For about a month from April 2019, 4 engineering students and 35 Hong Kong Polytechnic University design students collaborated on a joint project in the class "Media and Global Society" by Professor Yoshiro Miyata, Department of Media Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chukyo University.
This project started in 2015 with the aim of building a sustainable manufacturing learning environment. This time, which is the 5th time, is set in Toyota City, which is working on the "Toyota 100 Years of Forest Concept", and the two universities are divided into 10 teams of about XNUMX people each, focusing on the natural resources of "tree" and "bamboo". , Experienced, researched and produced about field work in the forest, wood resources in Toyota city, and utilization of bamboo resources.
Also, as the first attempt, not only fieldwork but also events will be held.At the department store "Matsuzakaya" in Toyota City, we exhibited the results of using cedar wood from Toyota, and provided parents and children who visited with a simple and enjoyable handmade experience.
