Ferris University is planning to progressively reorganize the current Faculty of Letters, Faculty of International Exchange, and Faculty of Music, and open the Faculty of Global Liberal Arts (2025 faculty, 4 departments, 1 majors) in April 3. In advance of this, on March 9th, we released the ``Let's experience classes at the College of Global Liberal Arts! Special page'' and on April 3th, we released the curriculum list.

The Faculty of Global Liberal Arts, which is scheduled to open in April 2025, will consist of the Department of International Sociology (International Relations, Global Society and Environment, International Business and Tourism), the Department of Psychological Communication (Psychology, Media, Symbiotic Communicator), and Culture. The Department of Expression Studies (Europe/America Major, Japan/Asia Major, Music/Body Expression Major) consists of 4 departments and 3 majors. The planned enrollment capacity is 9 students for the Department of International Sociology, 195 students for the Department of Psychological Communication, and 180 students for the Department of Cultural Expression.
*This plan is still being conceptualized, and the names of faculties, departments, majors, etc. are subject to change.

The curriculum is designed to teach students the practical skills to view the social issues brought about by globalization both domestically and internationally as their own, and to acquire practical skills to solve them as a stakeholder, which means global knowledge.Throughout the four years, students are provided with problem-solving classes, practical training, and exercises. Provide a place for active communication centered on In addition, we will provide support so that they can grow by experiencing numerous presentations and putting the knowledge they have learned into practice.

Additionally, we have established a curriculum that can be taken in all departments. In addition to the specialized subjects of each department and major, the following five curriculums can be taken in all departments based on the CLA (Liberal Arts Center), allowing students to acquire multiple strengths and prepare for early job hunting.
1. “Language Education: Intensive Course” where you can acquire operational skills for study abroad and business level
2. "Information education" where you can acquire programming knowledge and data analysis skills toward Society 5.0
3. "Career subjects" such as overseas internships where you can receive support from faculty and seniors and expand your horizons
4. "Minor majors: data science, gender and career, design and expression" that can be used to solve social issues
5. ``Performing Arts'' where you can take lessons in performance techniques, composition and arrangement, and performing arts, and acquire expressive skills for stage performances.

Recruitment of students is done on a department-by-department basis, with students joining the major from their third year onwards. There is no need to decide on a major at the time of application or admission. By adopting a one-faculty system, students will be encouraged to study a wide range of fields across disciplines before deciding on their major in their third year, increasing flexibility in their way of thinking.

Detailed information about the three departments and nine majors of the College of Global Liberal Arts can be found in the curriculum table available on the school's website. In addition, on a special page, classes from the College of Global Liberal Arts are being distributed online, introducing nine classes: ``Department of International Sociology,'' ``Department of Psychological Communication,'' and ``Department of Cultural Expression.''
