The Japan Student Services Organization has decided to send 2 university students and other students overseas as the 250th batch of students under the ``New Japan Representative Program,'' the second stage of ``Tobitate! Study Abroad JAPAN.''Applications will be accepted from December for current university students, and from April 16 for first-year university students.

 According to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, recruitment targets include domestic universities, graduate schools, junior colleges, technical colleges (4th grade and above, including specialized courses), upper secondary courses at high schools and secondary schools, specialized courses at special needs schools, Japanese students enrolled in vocational courses at vocational schools.

 We offer an innovator course that aims to create new value, a STEAM course that contributes to technological innovation and the creation of new industries, and a diversity course that covers a variety of fields such as sports, art, and general knowledge, and gives back to society what you have learned through studying abroad. We will produce 5 people over five years who will become ``global leaders who will bring about change in society themselves'' in the future.

 The number of applicants is 50, with 100 for the Innovator course and 250 each for the STEAM course and Diversity course.Approximately 1% of the total will be first year students at the new university, and approximately 1% of the STEAM courses will be technical college students.The start date for studying abroad is from August 1, 2024 to the end of March 8, and the period of study abroad is from 1 days or more to one year.

 The support includes a monthly stipend of 12 to 16 yen.Preparation for studying abroad is 15 yen for Asia and 25 yen for other areas.He plans to pay 30 yen for tuition fees at overseas universities.

 The course for high school students (9th period), for which the recruitment guidelines have also been released, is starting with the ``Center Formation Support'' program, which will be co-created by local industry, academia, and government to provide study abroad opportunities to local high school students and foster momentum for studying abroad. Projects in Shiga Prefecture, Shizuoka Prefecture, and Ishikawa Prefecture were selected.Up to 50 high school students enrolled in local high schools will be selected each year to conduct a study abroad program consisting of four courses.
