Based on this history, Tohoku University has registered "August 8", when Japan's first female college student was born, as "College Student Day".An online event to commemorate the registration will be held on August 21, 2020.
The event consists of two parts. In the first part, Satoshi Kato, Tohoku University Archives Associate Professor, and Chika Kuroda's grandson, Kotaro Kuroda, Professor Emeritus of Nagoya University, will give a lecture, and the first generation will set out the idea of "opening the door".
