Tohoku University Open Online Education Development Promotion Center announced the lineup of the 2019 online course "Tohoku University MOOC". Registration has begun in 7 courses such as "Understanding: The Mystery of the Aurora".
According to Tohoku University, "Understanding: The Mystery of Aurora" (opened in June, lecturer, Professor Takahiro Ohara, Graduate School of Science), "Introduction to Galactic Archeology-Following the Formation and Evolution of the Galaxy" will be offered from the Tohoku University Science Series. (July, January 6, Lecturer, Professor, Graduate School of Science, Tohoku University), "Approach to Practical Disaster Prevention Science Utilizing Lessons from the Great East Japan Earthquake-Role of Disaster Science" (Lecturer, September)・ Fumihiko Imamura, Professor, International Research Institute for Disaster Science) and "Introduction to Evolutionary Development" (started in January 7, lecturer, Koji Tamura, Professor, Graduate School of Life Sciences) are scheduled.
From the advanced liberal arts series studied at Tohoku University, "memento mori-thinking about death" (opened in August, lecturer, Professor Suzuki Iwayumi, President of the Faculty of Liberal Arts), "Family and Civil Law" (opened in October, lecturer Mizuno Noriko Graduate School of Law (Professor) and "Cultural History of Men and Women" (started in January 8, lecturer Akinori Takahashi, Professor of Graduate School of Letters) will be offered.
Of these, two lectures, "Understanding: The Mystery of the Aurora" and "Introduction to Galaxy Archeology-Following the Formation and Evolution of the Galaxy," are scheduled for face-to-face lessons.Except for the face-to-face learning course, it is free of charge and anyone can apply.Students will be issued a certificate of completion if certain conditions are met.
