On February 2020, 2, Nagaoka University of Technology and Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, Inc. signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement for the establishment of a joint research project on disaster prevention and mitigation.We will cooperate in fields such as disaster prevention, disaster mitigation, resilience improvement, and human resource development by coordinating mutual technologies.

 TEPCO and Nagaoka University of Technology have begun considering joint research from mid-June 2019. In September 6, a long-term power outage caused by typhoon No. 2019 strengthened the resilience of electric power, and we were "aware of the challenges" in response to the intensifying disaster. The agreement was signed.

 In the future, based on the comprehensive cooperation agreement, both parties will promote joint research on "disaster prevention / mitigation and resilience", promote regional industries, industrialize utilizing the results of technological research, contribute to SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), and educate. And lead to the development of human resources.The joint research will be carried out in the above five projects: (5) natural disaster countermeasure technology, (2020) disaster power supply security technology, (4) mobile disaster response technology, (3) residents / environmental support technology, and (XNUMX) education / organizational resilience improvement.The research period will be XNUMX years from April XNUMX, and the cost will be borne by TEPCO.
