According to Chiba University, the number of Friendship Program dispatches was 2019 in total: 6 in 2021, 4 in 2022, and 2023 in 5 and 20. The students were sent to Kitasawara Elementary School in Katori City, Nagara Junior High School in Nagara Town, and Matsudo Municipal High School in Matsudo City.
A total of 2019 international students were sent: 26 in 2021, 20 in 2022, 29 in 2023, and 31 in 106. A total of 2019 children and students interacted: 512 in 2021, 536 in 2022, 770 in 2023, and 992 in 2,810. It was not held in fiscal 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The content of the exchange will be an exchange class in which international students will tell about the culture and history of their home countries, and students will ask questions, cultural experience workshops, students will present the results of their research projects in English, and international students will share their impressions and advice. In some cases, international students served as interpreters when signing agreements with Korean schools, and even participated as guests in English conversation classes for seniors.
