The Faculty of Service Creation, Chiba University of Commerce holds the "Service Creation Award 2018" for high school and university students nationwide to solicit ideas for new services. Out of 1,093 applications, the winners such as the grand prize were announced.
The "Service Creation Award" was started in 2008 with the aim of making society widely aware of the importance of service creation, and this is the 11th time.The ideas we are looking for require the perspectives of "whether life is convenient and comfortable," "is it new," "is it original," "is it easy to understand," "is it likely to be realized," and "is it useful to society?" Will be.The collected ideas were comprehensively evaluated by 56 official supporter companies that cooperate with the Faculty of Service Creation and the judges established by the Faculty, and the awards were decided.
The 2018 "Grand Prize" is "Face recognition regular service" by Mr. Chaoyang Tanaka of Hokkaido Sapporo Higashi Commercial High School.A service that solves problems such as forgetting the commuter pass and having to pay for transportation on your own, even though you actually have it.I think that if you perform face recognition when you buy a commuter pass, you can pass through the ticket gate smoothly, and you will not be misused by someone if you drop the commuter pass.The reason for the award was highly evaluated from the perspective of providing a new service, a face recognition system for computer applications that automatically identifies people, as an added value to school commuter passes that are familiar to high school and university students.
The "Semi-Grand Prize" is "Protecting Elderly Drivers" by Mr. Taisei Matsuzaki of Chiba University of Commerce.The idea is to equip the car with a device that shows the heart rate and state of the elderly driver, and reduce the risk of accidents for the elderly driver, such as by naturally slowing down the speed of the car if an abnormality occurs in the heart rate. The "Excellence Award" was "Safety and Security Notice" by Akari Morohashi of Niigata Prefectural Gosen High School and "My Exclusive Coordinator" by Amika Shiratori of Chiba University of Commerce.
The "High School Award" is Saitama Prefectural Fukaya Commercial High School, Nozomi Tsuchiya, Hokkaido Sapporo Higashi Commercial High School, Yui Yamaguchi, Fukushima Prefectural Wakamatsu Commercial High School, Rena Sakai, Shizuoka Prefectural Numazu Commercial High School, Kobayakawa. Fuka, Akita Prefectural Yuzawa Shokita High School, Chihiro Numakura, Hokkaido Iwamizawa Ryokuryo High School, Kaede Murakami, Hokkaido Fukagawa Higashi High School, Rino Nishimura, Gunma Prefectural Maebashi Commercial High School, Wataru Abe, Ritsumeikan Keisho High School, Junsuke Murayama, more than 9 people received the award.
