A program to train student leaders who can think and act for themselves
The university-wide project "Student Leader Training Program to Energize Daito Bunka", which started in 2016, is an initiative to turn various activities within the university into learning opportunities, in addition to regular classes.Students in the 1st and 2nd grades who have been recommended by each faculty / department will take the learning value training program "Self-inquiry".Students are divided into groups of 6 or 7 people, and while receiving advice from facilitators, they practice programs centered on group work.Students have different values based on their respective roles in order to tackle the "unanswered" tasks that are often faced in the real world, rather than the ability to solve "answered" tasks that are centered on knowledge acquisition. The aim of this project is to provide students who are expected to play an active role as student leaders in each faculty with opportunities for independent learning through active learning, and to utilize that experience in regular lessons and extracurricular activities. Collaboration project with PBL type on-site training with Higashi Matsushima City, Miyagi Prefecture
