At the "Toothpick Tower Seismic Contest High School Student Tournament" held by the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Sojo University, a weight is attached to the toothpick tower weight mount made by a pair of people, fixed to the shaking table, and vibrates in the horizontal direction. And compete for its earthquake resistance.It is a competition to increase the number of weights and win the most earthquake-resistant tower that does not collapse.
General high schools and specialized high schools build towers in two different categories and hold seismic contests. Through this competition, many high school students are interested in learning physics, especially "power" and "manufacturing" in high schools. We are implementing it with the desire to have it brought to us.
