As vaccination with the new coronavirus progresses, it has become clear that the younger generation is more likely to have a side reaction than the elderly. Therefore, at Josai International University, students from the Faculty of Welfare, Faculty of Pharmacy, and Faculty of Nursing collaborated to create a video that allows students to learn about side reactions and countermeasures during the follow-up time after inoculation.Introduced at the venue of occupational inoculation on campus.

The video was supervised by faculty members of the Faculty of Welfare, Faculty of Pharmacy, and Faculty of Nursing, and was created by a total of 12 students. In the video, a student of the Faculty of Welfare explains the symptoms of "vagal reflex", which is one of the side reactions (headache, yawning, etc.) and the situations that are likely to occur (tension, lack of sleep, etc.).Furthermore, as a preventive measure, we are demonstrating simple finger exercises that can be done even while sitting in the seat.Next, the pharmacy students explained the local reactions (redness, itch, etc.) and systemic reactions (fever, malaise, etc.) of the vaccinated arm, and explained the medicines suitable for each symptom and how to take them.In addition, a nursing undergraduate student introduces preventive measures that should be continued even after vaccination, and introduces how to choose and put on the correct mask, how to ventilate, and how to wash hands in a quiz format.

All the contents were considered by the students themselves and edited to 15 minutes according to the follow-up time after the inoculation was completed. We devised so that everyone who received the inoculation at the venue could see the whole story.

When it was screened at the venue for the second occupational inoculation (October 2, 10, 6, 7) at the Chiba Togane Campus, "the follow-up time can be used effectively" and "it's just after the inoculation, so you can see it more seriously." It was well received, and the number of students who had an acute side reaction was lower than expected.

In addition, this video was screened at the mass inoculation in Togane City, Chiba Prefecture, which was held on October 10, at the Josai International University Chiba Togane Campus, and was watched by many visitors.

Students have released this video "Let's learn side reactions during follow-up time after vaccination" on YouTube so that they can use it at home and at work in addition to screening at other vaccination venues.
