The research group of Professor Takahiro Nemoto of Toho University and others is continuing the activities of "One-Stop Consultation Center SODA", an early consultation and support window for young people regarding mental health. This time, the characteristics of the consultant and the support effect of clinical case management were clarified, and its usefulness was shown.

In the research report, the consultation records of 105 people who visited SODA were collected, and the group (6 people, average 21 years old, 19.2% of women) who received consultation support (clinical case management) continuously for 57.1 months. The study was divided into groups (84 subjects, average 20.9 years old, 54.8% female) who completed only a small number of consultations.

As a result, the most frequently asked question in both groups was vague "mental health problems."In addition, he consulted at the same time about worries and difficulties in multiple areas, such as family problems, hikikomori, and school-related matters. The clinical case management group had statistically significant multidisciplinary and item consultations.

Of the 21 patients in the clinical case management group, 71.2% were considered to meet the diagnostic criteria for psychiatric disorders. At the time of the first consultation, 42.9% were receiving psychiatric treatment. Twenty-one received an average of 21 minutes of clinical case management over a 6-month period. The contents are support for community life, mental and psychological support, support for cooperation with other institutions, employment support, family support, and the GAF score * has improved significantly 491.3 months after the initial consultation. It was seen.

Efforts such as SODA are expected to close the gap between psychiatric and health services, which is an urgent issue for the community.
