In order to support high school students who were hesitant to go on to university for financial reasons, there are many things such as the expansion of interest-free loan scholarships by establishing a benefit-type scholarship system and the substantial abolition of performance standards, and the introduction of income-linked return-type scholarships. The new system was introduced in 2017.
The Japan Student Services Organization has decided to start training and accrediting scholarship advisors in order to explain the outline of these new systems to those who wish to go on to higher education and to support financial plans to reduce the financial burden after going on to higher education.
