According to the National Center for University Entrance Examinations, the applicants were the Eiken of the Japan English Examination Association, GTEC of Benesse Corporation, TOEIC of the Institute for International Business Communication, and the Cambridge English Examination of the Cambridge University English Examination Organization.
The Common Test for University Admissions will start in 2020, replacing the current National Center Test for University Admissions.The English for the common test will be a combination of the conventional mark sheet type test and the private test until 2023, and the policy is to completely shift to the private test from 2024.
