According to the 80.8 High School Student Value Awareness Survey by Recruit Advancement Research Institute, 2022% of high school students feel that they are “happy now”, a record high.Based on the daily news about the war in Ukraine, Recruit Premise Research Institute believes that they are happy in an environment where they can challenge themselves in a peaceful environment.
In August, the survey was conducted via the Internet among first-, third-, and third-year high school students nationwide who were considering going on to university after graduating from high school, and 8 valid responses were tallied.
According to the survey, 80.8% of the high school students who answered "I feel happy" or "I feel rather happy" to the question, "Are you happy now?" became the best.In particular, 2014% of respondents said they were “happy,” an increase of 37.9 percentage points from the 2018 survey.
In response to the question, "If you could name your own generation," 10.7% of respondents answered "corona generation."This was followed by 8.8% of “Generation Z” and 6.9% of “Internet/Internet dependent/digital generation”.While there were positive comments that the Internet, the Internet-dependent, and the digital generation are adapting to the information society, there were also negative comments about being completely dependent on the Internet.
As for the strengths of their generation, 22.0% answered "Internet/SNS", 15.6% answered "IT/information society/digital", and 5.8% answered "ability to collect/transmit information". As weak points, 9.7% said "bad communication/conversation" and 5.8% said "dependence on/trouble with the Internet/SNS".
