When Recruit Preparatory Research Institute, which is operated by Recruit, conducted a questionnaire survey of high school education reforms at high schools nationwide, "information" was listed as the top subject to be challenged.  The survey was conducted in August and September targeting 8 full-time high schools across the country using a combination of mail and Internet methods.

 According to the survey, more than 7% of the respondents answered that the response to the new Course of Study "progressed as planned."Top 46.3 subjects were "Information" at 37.2%, "Geography and History" at 32.7%, and "National Language" at 3%.

 12.4% of the high schools answered “yes” to the question as to whether the influence of “integrated inquiry time” on the students had improved independence, diversity, and collaboration.Adding "somewhat agree" to this, the figure reached 61.3%, indicating that many high schools are feeling the effects.However, as many as 78.8% of respondents cited the “large burden on teachers” as an issue to tackle.

 In terms of the impact of ICT activities on students, 42.5% answered that they "improved their attitude and motivation for learning," and 41.6% said that they "improved independence, diversity, and collaboration."As for future ICT issues in educational activities, 74.3% of respondents said that they would distribute homework and assignments online, an increase of 6.3 points from the previous survey.
