Shizuoka Institute of Science and Technology (Fukuroi City, Shizuoka Prefecture) will hold the "2018th SIST Colloquium" science cafe on September 9, 9, where anyone can easily participate with a drink or sweets.This time, four high schools in the western part of Shizuoka Prefecture participated as topic providers and announced the research contents they have been working on, such as "Environmental Survey with Drones".

 SIST Colloquium started in 2013.Shizuoka Institute of Science and Technology faculty members and high school students in Shizuoka Prefecture provide about 20 minutes of topics on science-related themes, front-line topics, and research content they are conducting.Participants will have discussions, exchange opinions, and ask and answer questions.

 The four topic providers this time are Iwata Agricultural High School (Department of Environmental Science), Iwata Minami High School (Faculty of Biology), Kakegawa Technical High School (Department of Environmental Equipment), and Kakegawa Nishi High School (Faculty of Natural Sciences).Iwata Agricultural High School, which is engaged in waterside environmental surveys and environmental improvement activities in Iwata City, has conducted a water quality survey and drone for 4 rivers in the Ota River system under the title of "Protecting the local waterside-Environmental survey with the introduction of drones". We are planning to announce the results of the habitat survey of the exotic species Iwata.

 On the day of the event, the program will be held at Shizuoka Institute of Science and Technology from 10:2 to 20 hours.The capacity is about XNUMX people, the participation fee is free, and only attendance is possible.
