In April, Keio University's Faculty of Commerce and Matsushita School of Government and Management will offer a new course on the Matsushita management philosophy of Konosuke Matsushita, the founder of Matsushita Electric Industrial (currently Panasonic), known as the "God of Management" at Keio University's Mita Campus in Minato-ku, Tokyo. will be established. Although this course is offered by the Faculty of Commerce, students from other faculties can also take the course.

 According to Keio University, the title of the course is ``Nations and Companies: Matsushita's Management Philosophy.'' Professor Kazuhiro Taniguchi of the Faculty of Commerce will serve as the coordinator, and a total of 7 courses will be held until July. The lecturers will be omnibus experts who have mastered Matsushita's management philosophy, and will include Keio University alumnus and Matsushita School of Government, House of Representatives member Ichiro Aizawa (Liberal Democratic Party) and House of Councilors member Shigefumi Matsuzawa (Japan Restoration Association). Approximately 14 students are expected to attend.

 Konosuke Matsushita was born in Wakayama Prefecture in 1894. He built Matsushita Electric Industrial in Osaka Prefecture in one generation and developed it into a global home appliance manufacturer. In his later years, in 1979, he invested 70 billion yen of his own money to open the Matsushita School of Government and Economics in Chigasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, with the aim of training the next generation of politicians.

 Politicians who graduated from Matsushita School of Government and Management include former Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda (Constitutional Democratic Party), Economic and Security Minister Sanae Takaichi (Liberal Democratic Party), former Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Seiji Maehara (Association for Achieving Free Education), and Hiroshi Nakata of the House of Councilors. The members include a lawmaker (former Yokohama mayor, Liberal Democratic Party), Miyagi Prefecture Governor Yoshihiro Murai, and Shiga Prefecture Governor Daizo Mikazuki.
