Reitaku University will continue to implement an English learning support program for junior high school students by volunteers who wish to become English teachers in 2019.

This program is a program in which university students who are taking an English teaching profession course at Reitaku University support learning English within the university in order to convey the joy of English to students attending junior high schools near the university. It has been implemented continuously since 2015, and the awareness of this program is increasing even in cooperating junior high schools. The university students who teach voluntarily run a program of 1 minutes each and 80 times in total.Volunteer activities that provide opportunities for practical training are being grown into activities that contribute to society.Of the university students who managed the program, 9 in Chiba prefecture in 2017, 3 in Ibaraki prefecture in 2018, and 1 in Chiba prefecture passed the teacher employment examination.

A total of 2018 people from two junior high schools participated in the program conducted in the first half of 2018 (May 5th to July 24th, 7).Set the concept to "think in English and notice in English".Instead of thinking by replacing English with Japanese, the goal is to be able to understand English as it is, focus on aspects that can not be followed in the class time frame of junior high school, and value the awareness of the students themselves. We provided learning support that also incorporated speaking and writing.More than 19% of the participating students answered that they were satisfied with the questionnaire, such as "It was a very easy-to-understand class" and "It was fun".Reitaku University will continue to hold an English learning support program for neighboring junior high school students in 2.
