According to the Japan Association of National Universities, the general selection of each university will be carried out by a separate division method divided into the first half schedule and the second half schedule.The test will be conducted on February 2th for the first half and March 25th for the second half.Applicants can apply for and take an examination at a national university, one for the first semester and one for the second semester.The results will be announced from March 3th to 12th in the first half and March 2th to 3th in the second half.

　School recommendation type selection is from December 12st to January 1nd when the result announcement does not impose the common test for university admission.If you want to impose a common test for university admission, it will be until February 1th.The results of the comprehensive selection will be announced from November 22st to February 2th.

　Since it takes time to score the newly introduced descriptive questions in the Common Test for University Admissions, the time to provide the test taker's grades from the National Center for University Entrance Examinations to each university will be about one week later than before.For this reason, it is expected that the announcement of the results of the first stage selection of the first semester schedule and the school recommendation type selection that was subject to the common test will be affected.

　From the 2021 entrance exam, the general entrance exam will be renamed to the general selection, the recommended entrance exam will be renamed to the school recommended entrance exam, and the AO entrance exam will be renamed to the comprehensive entrance exam in line with the national high school connection reform.
