The Yokohama National University Center for the Creation of a Risk Symbiotic Society has set up a new website on its homepage to consider how to deal with the new coronavirus from the perspective of risk symbiosis.Former center director Kazuhiko Noguchi will write a column for Corona and give suggestions and advice to policy makers and the general public.
According to Yokohama National University, the first column is "Clearly prioritize the management of society due to changes in the situation of corona infection."Professor Noguchi said that there are various risks in society and all of them cannot be eliminated, and he pointed out that the current spread of coronavirus infection is a situation to consider which risks and how to coexist.
In the event of a social crisis, it is not possible to respond to all requests, and policies that respond to various requests may negate the effects of each.
・ Clarify the priority of social management and implement measures promptly
・ Personal goals and schedules should be changed appropriately to achieve priority goals.
・ Flexible application of ordinary rules and rules to enable crisis response
・ Government systematically disseminates responses
・ Proceed with multi-layered studies in preparation for new risks created by changes in circumstances
-The five points are listed as recommendations.
In the future, the special site will release columns according to the situation one by one, and will send out measures for the new corona.
