It was found by a survey by Toshihiro Okubo Laboratory of Faculty of Economics and NIRA Research and Development Organization.
The survey was conducted from April 15st to 2020th, 4, targeting workers aged 1 and over nationwide, and received 7 responses.
According to the report, the telework utilization rate of workers nationwide reached 3% as of the end of March.By region, the usage rate was high in the Tokyo area, with 10% in Tokyo, 21% in Kanagawa, 16% in Chiba, and 14% in Saitama, and the increase in usage from the end of January was also remarkable in the Tokyo area.
By company size, 500% of companies have 16 or more employees, and companies with 5 or more employees have higher telework utilization rates as their business scale grows.By industry, the information and communication industry was the highest, followed by the information service / research industry.
Compared to January, 1% of people have reduced working hours, while 23% have reduced their income.As of the end of March, 23% of the respondents were less satisfied with their work and 26% were less happy with their overall life, revealing that the negative impact of the new corona was widespread.
Of those who worked less hours, about 60% were less satisfied with their work as a whole and less happy with their overall life.On the contrary, only about 5% of the respondents feel the satisfaction of the whole work and the happiness of the whole life.
