Comprehensive selection (formerly AO entrance examination) is an entrance examination method that selects students by comparing them with the student image required by the university.Interviews and document screening will be conducted to evaluate the individuality and enthusiasm of the examinees, which cannot be measured by the academic ability test alone, and decide whether to pass or fail. In the 2021 enrollment selection, Jissen Women's University will carry out comprehensive selection in all 3 faculties and 9 departments, and junior college departments will also carry out comprehensive selection in all 2 departments.

　The schedule was planned to be divided into Phase I selection in October, Phase II selection in December, and Phase III selection in January next year, and the tests were scheduled to be conducted three times on campus, but consideration was given to the risk of infection in transportation and venues. However, the I period selection will be conducted online.All interviews are conducted in 10 faculties and 12 departments of the university and 1 departments of the junior college, and mock classes in the Faculty of Letters, Department of aesthetics and art history, Faculty of Life Sciences, Department of Living Environment, and Faculty of Human and Social Studies.
