Shizuoka Institute of Science and Technology will hold the second public lecture online on October 2021, 10 (Saturday) with the common theme of "Thinking about energy for next-generation mobility-the future of automobiles".

Based on the policies and roadmaps announced by the Japanese government and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry toward the realization of "20 carbon neutral" announced in October 2020, domestic and overseas development trends and efforts at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology Introducing research on next-generation energy such as new automobile fuel "e-fuel" made from carbon dioxide.

 From 11:30, "Future outlook and best mix of energy for next-generation automobiles" by Associate Professor Tadanori Nouchi of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology.In addition to conventional petroleum-based fuels, energy for automobiles is diversifying, such as electricity, hydrogen, and biomass fuels.The superiority and inferiority of the environmental load when using energy is discussed, but in reality it is difficult to simply compare, and the environmental load during the entire life cycle including the time of energy production and the production and disposal of vehicles is considered. Need to consider.In the lecture, we will consider the best mix (optimal combination) of energy for next-generation automobiles in Japan.
