The CLT contest, which has been held since 2015, was changed from last year to the "CLT DESIGN AWARD - Design Contest", a contest centered on the "design category", in hopes of receiving more specific design proposals using CLT. It's new.
This contest calls for creative CLT designs and proposals for environmentally friendly and viable CLT buildings.Through the contest, we will promote the spread of CLT and the development of new technologies such as construction methods using CLT, with the aim of promoting further wooden construction, wood-based construction, and sustainable architecture in cities.
The theme for this recruitment is "Elementary Schools in Urban Areas"
Focusing on the role of elementary schools in urban areas and their interaction with the local community, they utilize CLT to provide inclusive learning spaces for a diverse range of children, while also functioning as part of the local community and engaging with children. We are looking for design proposals for an urban elementary school that connects the community and creates new value.
