The university was opened in 1966 (Showa 41) under the educational philosophy of "nurturing the heart and nurturing people" that inherits the founding spirit of Miki Takeda, the founder who devoted his life to girls' education. Since then, we have focused on fostering women who are true and practical.The strength of our university lies in the educational activities in which faculty members and students are united.In addition to guidance that includes not only classes but also the daily lives of each student through a tutor system and individual interviews held every semester, students are mainly in the "time for raising heart", which is an office hour for the entire university. Students are "autonomous learners", such as "Program Ikushin" that aims to grow the mind of the students, and the establishment of BECC, Learning Commons, and ILS (Individual Learning Facility), which is one of the largest English learning facilities in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions. We are actively working on educational reforms to raise them.In order to further expand such efforts and produce human resources that are beneficial to society, the university co-educated in 2019 (Heisei 31) and relaunched as "Hiroshima Bunkyo University".At the same time, the Faculty of Education was established and the new Building No. 1 (dedicated building for the Faculty of Education) was completed to maximize its educational effect.In addition, as globalization progresses, we plan to further strengthen cooperation and cooperation with overseas universities.
