The University of Tsukuba has decided to forgo the evaluation of independence using the survey form in the university entrance examination in 2021 and 2022, following 2023 and 2024.Because the impact of the spread of the new coronavirus infection has a great impact on normal learning and activities, students will be selected based on the total score other than the survey report, without scoring the survey report.

According to the University of Tsukuba, it is the university's evaluation policy to emphasize ordinary learning in the independence evaluation using the survey report, but based on the current situation that high school learning and activities are severely restricted by the new Corona. It was judged that it would be difficult to introduce it to the general selection in the 1 entrance examination where the current first year high school students will be the examinees. For this reason, the score of the survey report will be postponed for the time being, and the total score other than the survey report will be judged as it is until 2024.

After the 2025 entrance examination, the format of the survey report is expected to change by switching to the new course of study. The University of Tsukuba has not changed the attitude that it is necessary to evaluate the achievements and attitudes of learning in high school from multiple perspectives, so it is said that it will reconsider the evaluation method.

In the entrance examinations for 2023 and 2024, the comprehensive selection of the first semester schedule is for liberal arts, science I, science II, science III, and the selection of academic and specialized studies is for humanities and liberal arts, social and international studies, and life and environment studies. We planned to evaluate the independence of the science and engineering group, the informatics group, the medical group, the physical education specialty group, and the science and engineering group in the latter half of the schedule using a survey report.
