Shinshu University has signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Recruit Holdings (President Masumi Minegishi, Tokyo) of Recruit Group.This is the first time that Shinshu University has signed a partnership agreement with a company outside Nagano Prefecture, with the content of cooperating in various fields such as promotion of local industries and regional revitalization.
According to Shinshu University, the cooperation items agreed in the agreement are

■ Promotion of community medical care and welfare
■ Education and human resource development
■ Promotion of town planning
■ Promotion of academic research
■ Nature and environmental conservation

At the agreement conclusion ceremony held at Shinshu University Matsumoto Campus in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, after signing the agreement, Mr. Hiroshi Hamada, President of Shinshu University, and Mr. Yoichi Aso, Director of Recruit Holdings R & D New Business Development Office, shook hands.
Recruit Holdings has partnered with Shiojiri City, Nagano Prefecture for regional revitalization, and is working to solve various regional issues.Shinshu University has also signed an agreement with Shiojiri City and has been developing collaborative activities.In that process, a connection with Recruit Holdings was born, which led to the conclusion of an agreement.
