The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's university establishment / school corporation council has withheld its decision on the issue of the establishment of a new veterinary school by the school corporation "Kake Gakuen".It seems that it was judged that there was an inadequate point in the education system, and it is expected that the examination will be continued and whether or not it can be opened again by October. If approved, the new veterinary school will be established for the first time in 10 years since Kitasato University in 1966, but the continuation of the examination is likely to affect the extraordinary Diet session scheduled to be convened in late September.

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Okayama University of Science, which Kakei Gakuen plans to open in April 2018, consists of the Department of Veterinary Medicine and the Department of Veterinary Health and Nursing. The location is "Ikoinooka" in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture, with a site area of 4 square meters. It has been transferred from Imabari City and is already under construction. It was certified as a National Strategic Special Zone in January and applied to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology at the end of March.
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology has not disclosed the details of the examination, but it is believed that there were inadequate points in the education system. The council will consider the educational content to be revised in the future and make a new decision.

In the new design drawing of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Kakei Gakuen, Kihei Maekawa, the former administrative vice minister of the Ministry of Education, pointed out that the administration was "distorted" in terms of procedures, and there has been a fierce debate in the Diet over the involvement of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

The council was reviewing the establishment of a total of 68 universities and faculties, including Kakei Gakuen, and reported to the Minister of Science, Yoshimasa Hayashi to approve 58 of them.
There are seven universities, junior colleges, and graduate universities that have been judged appropriate for approval, including Nagano Prefectural University in Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture, Ikuei University in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, and Shizenkan University, Graduate University in Chuo-ku, Tokyo.Nine cases, including the establishment of a new faculty including the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Okayama University of Science, were put on hold, and the university withdrew the application for the establishment of the Himeji University Junior College.
