Research teams from Rikkyo University and Tenri University have unveiled the entire ruins of a Jewish church (Sinagoke) in the 1st century AD found at the Ter Rehes ruins in northern Israel. The early discovery of cinnagokes is the eighth case, and the research team believes that it will be an important clue to the format of early cinnagokes.

According to the study team, Sina Goke was the place where the rally was held on the Sabbath of Judaism. In addition to excavating the ruins, the research team created a 8.5D model of the ruins based on the information obtained by shooting with the drone. The site of the building is 9.3 meters north-south and XNUMX meters east-west.A bench made of cut stones lined up along the wall, which is characteristic of early cinnagokes, was also discovered. It is said that at the rally, people at that time were sitting on this bench and discussing the Jewish law.

Since the ancient Roman army destroyed the temple in Jerusalem in 70 AD, the synagok became more religious and the entrance was made toward Jerusalem. However, the entrance to the Sina Goke discovered this time is in the opposite direction to Jerusalem. It is believed to have been built before the destruction of the temple by the Roman army.

The study team consists of the leader, Hisao Kuwahara, a professor at the Faculty of Letters, Tenri University, and the deputy leader, Shuichi Hasegawa, an associate professor at the Faculty of Letters, Rikkyo University. Was.

Associate Professor Hasegawa of Rikkyo University commented, "It is possible that Jesus stopped by near Nazareth, where Jesus Christ was active."
