Fujita Gakuen, a school corporation, has decided to change the name of the university to Fujita Medical University in line with the 2018th anniversary of the opening of Fujita Health University in 50.Currently, we are preparing to submit a consultation form to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in advance, and if it is approved, we plan to change the name from October 2018.

 According to Fujita Gakuen, Fujita Health University opened in 1968 as Nagoya Health University.Initially, it was only the Faculty of Health, but in 1972 it opened the Faculty of Medicine and the Institute of Comprehensive Medical Sciences, and in 1978 it opened the Graduate School of Medicine, and in 1991 it changed its name to Fujita Health University.

 Currently headquartered in Toyoake City, Aichi Prefecture, it has the Faculty of Medicine and the Graduate School of Health Sciences, which have been renamed from the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Health Sciences.Fujita Health University Hospital and Nursing College are also located on campus.

 Fujita Gakuen is working toward the goal of redeveloping a large campus and building a high brand in line with the 50th anniversary of the university's opening.We decided to change the name of the university in order to clarify the attitude of the school to promote medicine and medical innovation in the next half century toward that goal.The English name "Fujita Health University" will not be changed.
