Osaka Shoin Women's University has a faculty of health and nutrition, and has produced human resources such as dietitians and registered dietitians.The Kusunoki Health and Nutrition Center is the university that celebrated its 100th anniversary as a nutrition education institution and established a base for regional cooperation and health and nutrition education activities.
At the center, cooking classes are held with the concept of "easily making at home" according to the life stage of the participants, such as fresh moms, parents and children, living alone, and elderly people (its families, caregivers). The "Health and Nutrition Fair" will create a place for interaction between students and local residents.In addition, through health checks using health equipment, eating seminars, nutrition consultations, etc., we will correctly disseminate information on health-related foods and propose safe eating habits.

　On June 2018, 6, the center was relocated to an off-campus (Choeiji, Higashi-Osaka City) with the aim of providing support while being closer to the local residents.With the power of nutrition, we aim to contribute to extending the healthy life expectancy of local residents and improve the specialized skills of students and graduates of Osaka Shoin Women's University.

　From July 2018, 7, we plan to implement "specific health guidance" for people who are at high risk of lifestyle-related diseases according to the results of specific health examinations by Higashi Osaka City (National Health Insurance).Going forward, we will continue to deepen industry-academia-government collaboration centered on Higashi-Osaka City and expand the circle of comprehensive nutrition maintenance and promotion in the region.
