HIRAKU, a regional collaboration platform for pioneering the future, of which Hiroshima University serves as a representative organization, holds a speech contest called "Future Ph. Competition 3” will be held.
According to Hiroshima University, this competition is part of the HIRAKU project, which supports the activities and further growth of young researchers throughout the local community. It has been held every year since 2015 for the purpose of improving the quality of human resources and deepening society's understanding of doctoral human resources and doctoral research.
Recruitment targets are doctoral students enrolled in universities in Japan, regardless of field of specialization.There are two divisions, Japanese and English, and the winners will be determined by video judging and final stage presentation judging.Applicants must complete the entry by 2:8 on August 16 (Wednesday) and submit the video by 17:8 on August 31 (Thursday).
A panel of judges made up of experts will examine the entries, and the finalists will be decided in late September.The final stage (presentation judging) will be held on November 9th (Sat) from 11:11 at Higashihiroshima Arts and Culture Hall "Kurara" in Higashihiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture.In both the Japanese and English categories, one winner will be selected for the Grand Prize, Excellence Award, and Audience Award.The Grand Prize will receive a certificate and a scholarship of 13 yen, and the Excellence Award will receive a certificate and a scholarship of 2 yen.In addition, video awards will be awarded by special sponsors to multiple video contributors.
