Based on that experience, we established the Emerging Infectious Diseases Research Center within the Research Center for Advanced Medical Sciences to prepare for new emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases that may be expected in the future.This initiative has been designated as an important initiative in the research field in the 4th mid-term plan, and related research is being promoted.The YCU Collaborative Research Core, an open platform launched last year with the aim of generating new research, will also have an infectious disease targeting core unit to promote translational research.By promoting and developing research activities here, we will lead to local contributions to Yokohama City and other areas.
