On November 2023, 11, Japan Women's University concluded an interuniversity agreement regarding student exchange with Sungshin Women's University in South Korea.This is the second school in South Korea to sign an agreement, following Ewha Womans University.
Seishin Women's University, like Japan Women's University, is a private women's university with approximately 11,000 students enrolled.Among the 13 faculties ranging from liberal arts to science to art, there is also a faculty specializing in K-beauty and K-fashion, which have been attracting attention in recent years. We are leading the way in education that integrates innovation.
In addition, Sungshin Women's University is focusing on internationalization, accepting over 30 international students from approximately 700 countries.The university has various facilities for experiencing Korean culture, and the Korean Language School of the Institute of International Education provides high-quality education to international students, including providing Korean language education for each language level.It has been selected as an ``Excellent Certified University'' for nine consecutive years in the Korean Ministry of Education's ``Educational Internationalization Competency Certification System,'' which evaluates a university's ability to attract and manage foreign students. In 9, only nine out of more than 2023 universities in South Korea were selected as ``Excellent Accredited Universities.'' The Faculty of International Studies is scheduled to open in 400.
At Japan Women's University, we have two types of study abroad systems for undergraduate students: ``Study Abroad at Partner Universities'' and ``Study Abroad at Approved Universities,'' which allow undergraduate students to study abroad for up to the equivalent of one academic year.Currently, there are 1 study abroad programs at partner universities. 2 universities in Japan (including interdepartmental agreements limited to departments).In order to reduce the financial burden on international students, we have established a unique scholarship system to help more students actively study abroad.Regarding the acceptance of foreign students, there are approximately 13 international students (regular students [undergraduate/graduate school], exchange students, short-term students, etc.) enrolled in the school each year, and they interact with Japanese students, alumni, kindergarteners, children, and students at the affiliated school. We provide various opportunities for interaction.
