Tetsuya Matsuo Seminar Team B, a third-year student in the Department of Sports Wellness, Faculty of Community Welfare, Rikkyo University, won the ``Supreme Award'' and the ``Director of the Japan Sports Agency Award'' in ``Sport Policy for Japan 3.''
"Sport Policy for Japan 2023" is an event where university students from all over the country who are concerned about the current state and future of sports in Japan will present their research results and recommendations regarding sports policy, and exchange opinions and exchange ideas. This time, 2023 universities, 10 teams, and 28 students from all over the country participated over two days, October 29th and 2th, 24, making it the largest tournament in the history of the tournament, which started in 61. From Rikkyo University, the Tetsuya Matsuo seminar team (two teams, A and B), third-year students from the Department of Sports and Wellness, Faculty of Community Welfare, participated and made sports policy recommendations.
Presentations on sports policy proposals were held in a competition format with qualifying rounds and finals (8 teams). Presentation on the theme of ``Beyond.'' By using "sign language exercises" that are a combination of sign language and exercise, we will help hearing people and people with hearing impairments communicate smoothly, contributing to the creation of an environment where they can play team sports together, and building momentum for the Tokyo Deaflympics. , received the ``Best Award/Director's Award from the Japan Sports Agency'' for proposing a plan that would help promote the realization of a cohesive society. Furthermore, Team B's presentation was also selected as number one in a student vote by participating students.
