The Kihachiro Okura Memorial Society for the Promotion of Arts and Sciences of Tokyo Keizai University (hereinafter referred to as the "Okura Memorial Society for the Promotion of Arts and Sciences") of Tokyo Keizai University will hold an academic lecture titled "Overcoming Aging and Aiming for Healthy Longevity" on Saturday, February 2024, 2. do. In recent years, many things have been learned about the great mystery of ``Why and how do humans age?'' This academic lecture, "Overcoming Aging and Aiming for Healthy Longevity," will welcome Professor Makoto Nakanishi, Director of the Institute of Medical Science, University of Tokyo, who specializes in cancer defense signals. We will introduce recent findings regarding the technology used to remove senescent cells and improve the inflammatory traits of senescent cells, and discuss whether it is possible to improve human aging pathology by targeting senescent cells.
