Rikkyo University has decided to fully introduce the English private examination into the general selection from the 2021 entrance examination. The aim is to positively evaluate the four English skills of "reading," "listening," "writing," and "speaking," and switch to an entrance examination that asks multifaceted academic abilities.
According to Rikkyo University, the English private exam is currently used only for global entrance exams, but from the 2021 entrance exam, all faculties will score the English private exam scores and use them for pass / fail judgment.As a result, we will not conduct our own English test.Only the Faculty of Letters will set up its own English test, national language, and test dates based on elective subjects, in addition to this type of entrance exam.
We will also conduct an entrance examination that judges pass / fail based only on the results of the common test for university admission, but you can submit the score of the English private examination.In this case, the number converted into the score and the higher score of the common test for university admission are used for the pass / fail judgment.
Available English private exams are Cambridge English Test, English Test, GTEC, IELTS, TEAP, TEAPCBT, TOEFL iBT.Scores obtained within two years from the general selection test month will be valid.
Furthermore, from the 2021 entrance examination, the number of examination opportunities, which is currently up to 2 times for all faculty schedules and individual faculty schedules, will be expanded to a maximum of 5 times (6 times for the Faculty of Letters and 2 times for the Faculty of Science).
Rikkyo University has set the goal of developing global leaders who will lead society in the 21st century, and is encouraging students with excellent four English skills to enroll.For this reason, it was judged that full utilization of the English private examination, which can properly measure the four skills, would be effective.
