According to Chuo University, Oki Electric Industry's lab is the first move-in of the "AI Data Science Center" opened by Chuo University in April. The purpose is to train human resources who can realize the social implementation of AI in collaboration with Chuo University, which has cutting-edge knowledge in the field of AI and data science, and Oki Electric Industry, which has a lot of actual issues and data of social infrastructure.

　Expectations are rising for the use of AI and data science toward the full-scale spread of 5G and IoT, but there are often cases where it is not implemented in the field such as production factory lines.It is thought that the cause is that the engineers of companies do not have sufficient knowledge of AI utilization because they rarely see the problems in the field directly in academic research such as universities.

　For this reason, Oki Electric Industry will bring in on-site issues and data at the Social Implementation Lab, seek solutions with the cooperation of Chuo University, and promote human resource development through such efforts.

　In 2019, Oki Electric Industry launched a company-wide project to promote the improvement of the internal environment to become a company that can use AI effectively and safely, and established the "OKI Group AI Principles".Based on this, we started human resource development in the social implementation lab.
