Azabu University conducts a questionnaire survey of students and faculty members in order to understand the current situation of distance learning online and to find out what to improve. The results of the interim evaluation were made public to both students and faculty members, and the outline of the contents of the questionnaire was made public so that it could be used as a reference for universities nationwide that try and make mistakes in online classes.

Azabu University is conducting distance learning for the entire period of the first semester class in 2020 (April 4-September 28).When conducting distance lessons, we will lend free terminals (PCs) and communication equipment (pocket Wifi) to students who wish to take classes, provide scholarships to support the learning environment for all students, and provide a "Anything Counseling Room". We have provided support such as installation and holding of consultation meetings using Meet by TA.
For teachers who give lessons, all teachers share examples of lesson design, how to respond when the line is cut off, and operational measures for students with poor communication environment, and they are remote throughout the university. We are working to improve the lessons.

The survey that announced the interim evaluation this time was conducted as of the end of May, and 5 responses were obtained, which is about half of all students.

Looking at the overall satisfaction level of the distance learning, the evaluation of all faculties and departments was 10 out of 6.91 points, which was relatively high from the students.About 5% of the respondents did not feel stressed by the distance learning itself (4 points or more on a 7-point scale), and on the contrary, 4.5% felt strongly stressed (lowest rating). When classified by class format, lessons using on-demand video are the least stressful, and 10% and 12% respectively when using online (synchronous) lessons using "Google Meet" and power point files with audio. It turned out that some students were feeling stressed.

How was the content of the lesson? When students evaluated the subjects that they were very troubled with as "improvement-required subjects" and the subjects that should be recommended as model lessons as "recommended subjects", there were 543 "improvement-required subjects" and 779 "recommended subjects". It was found that there are many students who feel that the quality of the lessons is not guaranteed because there are problems with the presentation of materials, the contents of the materials, and the correspondence of teachers in the "subjects requiring improvement".

In response to this result, Azabu University asks faculty members of "improvement-required subjects" to improve the lesson content, and faculty members of "recommended subjects" are asked to introduce lesson design, etc., so FD (Faculty Development) ) A lecture was held.
