Meisei University holds an open campus for high school students from April to October 2016. On the open campus dates of July 4st and August 10th and 7th, the 31 departments of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Department of Comprehensive Science and Engineering (Physics, Life Science / Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Architecture) Special lectures on academic and environmental sciences will be held.
As with the open campus, this special lecture does not require reservations and is free of charge.This is an opportunity for high school students who are thinking about their career paths to hear directly from teachers who are active at the cutting edge of each field.
July 7st is a lecture "The Origin of the Universe and Us" by Professor Hajime Inoue of the Department of Physics. Professor Inoue, who is in charge of the physics department of the same department after working at the JAXA Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, specializes in X-ray astronomy and high-energy astronomy.We will give an overview of the universe that surrounds us, and trace the history of the birth of the universe and the birth of the earth.
