A joint research group of Tohoku University Cyber ​​Science Center, Nagoya Institute of Technology, and Japan Meteorological Association has incorporated data that combines weather forecast data and mathematical formulas obtained from experience into heat stroke risk assessment simulation technology, and the reality of asphalt and athletic fields. We have developed a heat stroke risk assessment system under certain conditions.

 So far, the research group has applied the integrated physics and system biology simulation technology for heat stroke risk assessment considering individual characteristics of infants and the elderly to the supercomputer "SX-ACE" owned by the Tohoku University Cyber ​​Science Center. In addition to being efficiently implemented and speeded up, we have succeeded in developing a technology that evaluates the risk of heat stroke after 3 hours in 10 minutes by fusing it with weather forecast data and considering individual characteristics.

 This time, we improved the system and succeeded in assessing the risk of heat stroke in a specific environment by using mathematical formulas empirically derived from temperature and humidity measurement data in asphalt, athletic fields, etc. and meteorological forecast data. bottom.

 Assuming a 60-minute walk on the sidewalk (asphalt), the temperature rise of infants was 34 ° C, which was about twice that of adults, when the outside temperature was about 1.12 ° C.It was also found that the total sweating for 0.61 minutes was 2% of body weight in adults, whereas it reached 60% of body weight in infants, and there was a risk of early dehydration.It is said that this is due not only to the difference in body shape and physiology between adults and infants, but also to the difference in ambient temperature between adults and infants due to the reflection from the sidewalk.

 With the development of this system, risk assessment in a more realistic environment becomes possible, it is possible to grasp the difference in feelings between the high risk group of heat stroke (elderly people, infants, etc.) and young people, and encourage attention to the surroundings. It is expected to be used for.
