Gakujo Co., Ltd. conducted an Internet questionnaire on "UI turn / employment in rural areas" for university and graduate students scheduled to graduate (complete) in March 2022.

 According to the survey, 47.4% of students want to get a job in a UI turn or in a rural area. Compared to the June 2020 survey (for students graduated in 6), it increased by 2021 points, and it can be seen that the number of students who wish to “UI turn or find employment in rural areas” is increasing due to the corona sickness.

 Regarding the reasons for wanting "UI turn and employment in rural areas", students said, "If you live in the metropolitan area, it is difficult to return to your hometown, so I want to get a job locally." "I can't feel free to return to my hometown." This made me feel the importance of my family again.I want to live near my family. ”“ I want to do what I can for the locals who are in a difficult situation due to the decrease in tourists due to the corona risk. ”“ It seems that they are asked to telework or refrain from going out. If so, I thought that I didn't necessarily have to live in the metropolitan area. ”“ I thought that the risk of infectious diseases was lower in areas with a smaller population. ”

 Looking at the ratio, "I want to live with my family" was the highest at 29.6%.This was followed by "because I didn't necessarily feel the need to live in an urban area" (28.8%) and "because I wanted to work to contribute to the local community" (27.1%).

 Regarding the place of work when "UI turn or employment in a rural area", the most requested was "prefecture of origin" at 69.3%.This was followed by "areas with many job offers near the prefecture of origin" (36.3%), "areas with attractive job offers" (21.5%), and "areas with good access to the metropolitan area" (19.6%).
