Saitama Institute of Technology has implemented an industry-academia collaboration project to strengthen the branding of the long-established food manufacturing industry "Shinkichi Co., Ltd.", which is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its founding in Fukaya City, and students designed a new logo.
Shinkichi Co., Ltd. was founded in Fukaya City, Saitama Prefecture in 7, and is a food manufacturing company that manufactures noodles such as udon, soba, and Chinese noodles. Among them, Fukaya's specialty, boiled noodles, is famous. This time, we asked Saitama Institute of Technology to strengthen branding as part of the 1918th anniversary of our founding, and industry-academia collaborative research has begun.
In this industry-academia collaboration project, four students formed a project team under the guidance of Professor Nobuyoshi Hayashi of the Department of Information Sociology, Faculty of Human and Social Studies, Saitama Institute of Technology and Associate Professor Makoto Danjo of the Department of Media Culture. The logo designed by Ms. Emi Taguchi and Ms. Hikaru Kurihara, 4th year students of the Department of Social Informatics, Department of Media Culture, has been adopted as Shinkichi's new logo.
The new logo is an easy-to-understand design that incorporates "local love" based on Shinkichi's management philosophy of "deliciousness," "100 years since its founding," and "tradition."During the production period of about half a year, we created more than 120 rough drafts, and from among them, we repeated trial and error by utilizing the evaluation and advice of President Kouchi of Shinkichi and the feedback from the employee questionnaire, and finally two designs were made. It was adopted. The new logo has already been used for some products, and products with the new logo will be sold in earnest for future autumn / winter products.
