On the other hand, in addition to internships, volunteers, and encouragement and support for studying abroad, there are opportunities for students to come into contact with a variety of people in an unfamiliar environment outside the university, such as project-type lessons in collaboration with companies and government agencies in regular lessons. Recently, we have started to collaborate with local universities in Japan.Collaboration with Shimane Prefectural University started last year.A student of our university went to Shimane and worked with the other student to revitalize the town of Tsuwano (photo).For students raised in the city, the town of Tsuwano, where carps swim in the river, is fresh.I heard that many of the students who participated have grown dramatically while interviewing farmers and people in the shopping district and discussing plans and directions with Shimane students.
From the perspective of globalization, the international student dormitory, which was completed last year, is also preparing an environment where you can sleep with foreign students and is recruiting applicants.In the future, we would like to steadily increase the number of partner schools regardless of regions such as the United States, Europe, Asia, and Australia, and further expand the opportunities to experience diversity.

In collaboration with the local community, Musashino City, where our university is located, is scheduled to be the host city of Romania in Tokyo ORIPARA in 2020, so in order to entertain the Romanian people, a project for students to learn about Romania and Kichijoji Station Projects such as processing and selling grown organic vegetables in collaboration with commercial facilities are underway.The students involved in the project seem to be lively, cheerful and rewarding.
Recently, a student public relations committee has been organized to produce the on-campus public relations magazine "ZELKOVA" (cover image) and participate in the creation of content to be posted on the university homepage.It seems to be very difficult and busy, but it seems to be fun and lively.
Q Are there any other initiatives for Seikei Brilliant 2020?
--In the Department of Information Science, Faculty of Science and Technology, you will be divided into "Computer Science Course" and "Data Mathematics Course" from the second year, and in the Faculty of Letters, "Japanese Teacher Training Course" and art by government and NPO. Two cross-departmental courses will be opened, the "Arts and Culture Administration Course" to learn the practice of cultural promotion.
