My specialty is economics, but when I was a employment manager and a director of a career support center, I became interested in human resources development theory while interacting with people from companies, and began to work on systematizing career education.MBT started with the desire to somehow realize the ideal that I had been thinking about, and this year marks the seventh year.
In the spring, MBT will select third-year students from all faculties, and in some cases, with graduate students, form several groups of 3 or 6 people, and receive assignments from companies that represent Japan.After spending about four months thinking about the solution, in August, I will give a presentation in a suit in front of the people of the company who received the problem in the conference room in Marunouchi.
Instructors will also be gathered from all faculties and assigned to one team.If there is only one faculty member, the student will listen to that faculty member.Teachers' opinions are not always correct.By making it possible to hear different opinions, we will let them know that the opinions of teachers are just one of many perspectives.
There are about 20 cooperating companies every year.Initially, we visited more than 20 Mitsubishi Group companies related to Seikei and asked for their cooperation.The challenges offered vary, but some are quite difficult.For example, last year, "Let's think about a new service for Marunouchi Ambassadors toward 2020."After investigating the Marunouchi Ambassadors and the history of Marunouchi, the students considered the weaknesses of Marunouchi and investigated the customer base that stood at Tokyo Station and came and went in Marunouchi.The day before the presentation, I spent all night reworking the materials and practicing.After the presentation was over, he was about to collapse.But in the midst of these away tensions, the desperate and fulfilling experience is irreplaceable, and it certainly has made them grow amazingly.

Seikei University has established the "Seikei University USR Code" and declared that it will fulfill its "University Social Responsibility (USR)" through education, research, and other social contribution activities.Last year, we opened the "Sustainability Education and Research Center" to study initiatives and educational methods for a sustainable society, and from 2020, we will include it in the university's liberal arts curriculum (university-wide). We will set up a group of subjects for "Exploring a Sustainable Society" and feed back the results of our research to university education.In the near future, we will open the "Society 5.0 Research Institute (tentative name)" to consider the sustainability of the super IT society from multiple perspectives.In particular, we will focus on research on teaching materials on technical ethics, information ethics, etc., and give feedback to information education at universities, aiming to become a top runner in education and research on "Society 5.O for SDGs" in combination with the "Sustainability Education and Research Center".
