Therefore, the Faculty of Science and Engineering and the Graduate School of Information Production Systems (IPS) will jointly conduct basic education at the Nishi-Waseda Campus and then conduct specialized research after the graduation thesis at the Kitakyushu Campus for students recruited from local areas. This is not to introduce a community-based entrance examination just for the purpose of increasing enrollment from local areas, but to return to the local area after undergraduate education, where education and research activities closely related to local companies are carried out, and further local We can expect a new form of local contribution that also arranges employment in companies.
The "New Thinking Entrance Examination" will start from the 2018 enrollment, and the faculty of implementation will be the Faculty of Science and Engineering II.Up to 10 people can be recruited.Admissions will be selected by the recommended entrance examination (designated school) mainly in the Kitakyushu area, and the interview examination will be conducted at the Kitakyushu campus.In addition, students belonging to regular courses will be allowed to advance to IPS if they wish.In the future, the company will consider the possibility of dispatching summer quarters to Kitakyushu to resolve the gap term for students enrolled in the English degree program in April.
